This is a Prototype Wagon and is the sole
example.
It was built for SHELL
Petroleum - the concept being that the tank would be transferred
to a road vehicle fitted with twist-locks for delivery of fuel
to a garage forecourt. In recent years it was used to carry
water for use with CHIPMANS weed
killing train and therefore retains the appropriate fittings for
it to be used in the future for the same purpose.
Mounted on a chassis (which was formerly a
plate wagon) running with Roller bearings the vehicle is through
air-piped.
The vehicle is stored at a private site in
the West Midlands.
